Many other moderators resigned in response to the dismissal or abandoned their moderating activities. The company responded with two very poorly received messages, which were deleted and with a slightly less negative apology a few days later.  In December 2019, the company issued a message stating that it and the host had reached an agreement and that they had expressed regret for any damage to their reputation.   Yet this and the sudden departure of several community leaders (Stack Exchange employees who interact with the community) have led to an erosion of trust between the community and the company – and has convinced many of the site`s most productive users, including many community-chosen moderators and a community manager, to go in the coming months.   If you do not wish to be bound by the arbitration and class action rules set out in this section, you must inform us in writing within thirty (30) days of the date on which you first agree to these conditions for the public network (unless there is a longer period required by the current legislation), and then you will have to charge all the disputes against us under the “Attribution and Jurisdiction” section below.
